HEX FAQs

The following FAQ’s are intended to address initial questions you may have regarding the new Hex FC organization. We recognize that some readers may need additional information or wish to discuss these answers in greater detail. Please look for announcements via email and the club’s websites. There will be zoom meetings held for all current FC Bucks and PA Dominion players/families over the next couple weeks by Hex FC leadership.

  • We want to solidify our current partnership by rebranding PA Dominion and FC Bucks together under one badge. This will provide positive benefits to both clubs’ boys and girls programs and serve as a one-stop shop geographically and competitively. This new organization merely finalizes the agreement that was formed two seasons ago to support the ECNL Boys program.

  • Yes, the club will be a not for profit legal entity as a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation. It will be registered as HEX FC

  • This is neither a merger nor takeover. A wholly new club organization called HEX FC is being formed. Affiliate clubs will retain their current identities at the intramural, select and travel U12 and below. At U13 and older, players will have the opportunity to play at the highest level by trying out for a HEX FC team, if desired. An exploratory committee has been formed with equal representation from both PA Dominion and FC Bucks. We intend to be the model organization for youth soccer and sports in general with an unwavering focus on ensuring that the good of the players and their families come first.

  • The current PA Dominion teams will stay intact, and simply be rebranded as HEX FC.

Our boy’s players will retain their place in the ECNL.

This rebranding opens the door for our girl’s players to have a more direct pathway to this highest level of play. It automatically puts our girls in an ECNL Club allowing them easier access to training and playing opportunities.

  • The current CRUSA Intramural teams and current CRUSA Travel USYS teams will remain branded as CRUSA.

The current U8-U18 FC Bucks USYS teams will remain branded as FC Bucks.

All U12 Pre-ECNL through U18/U19 ECNL teams will be branded as HEX FC, as well as future U13-U19 USYS teams that select this pathway..

Our girls’s players will retain their place in the ECNL.

This rebranding allows for our boy’s players to continue to have the opportunity for a direct pathway to this highest level of play.

  • We are starting with six affiliate clubs - CRUSA, Harleysville FC, Boyertown SC, Valley SC, Parkland Area SC, and Villanova SA. Other local community clubs that follow the same philosophy with player development will be considered and/or approached for discussions. Additional clubs may be involved in the future if they so choose.

  • • Player pools at all levels of travel soccer

    • Shared facilities across our geographic area

    • Expertise in player and club development

    • Experienced leadership group, along with skilled licensed coaches.

    • Wide range of programming for players with a range of abilities

  • Tryouts will begin this spring (April-May) for the teams which will begin competition in Fall 2023.

  • We have been in a partnership at the ECNL level called FC Bucks Dominion for 18 months. We are just now formalizing it under a new brand and including all Dominion boys and girls ECNL and USYS teams and FC Bucks U13 and older ECNL/RL & USYS girls teams, to reap the same benefits of the partnership.

  • A board of directors of equal representation from FC Bucks and PA Dominion will be assembled. Under the board of directors, a soccer structure is being formed of an Executive Director, Director of Coaching, and Administrators. More positions and info coming soon.

  • Absolutely. The new pathway will greatly depend on volunteers for its success and vitality. We will encourage volunteers from all participating clubs.

  • Our current geographical locations are:

DOMINION- Faith Christian Academy (Quakertown) and UPHS (Pennsburg)

    home of:

    • boys ECNL teams

    • boys USYS National League PRO teams

    • girls USYS National League PRO team

BUCKS- Council Rock North & South High Schools (Richboro/Newtown), Bryn Athyn (Bryn Athyn)

    home of:

    • girls ECNL teams

    • girls ECRL teams

  • Our goal is to make soccer affordable for every child. We will be working to develop a financial structure comparable to the ones already in place.

  • Our newly created website will allow you to register for the new organization once tryouts are announced and player roster invitations are extended.

  • We do not anticipate a change in the existing recreational programs due to the new organization. Your recreational player will retain the advantages he/she currently enjoys while having a structured travel pathway to strive for. The biggest change is that recreational coaches will have greater access to professional coaching resources, including more tools and training. The training will be based on the philosophy that it is more important for players to be placed in the appropriate training environment and to develop and have fun versus a sole goal of winning games. Strong training and instilling a love for the game will naturally progress to success during matches.

  • Formation of all teams will be determined through open tryouts. Current teams will stay in place until tryouts for Fall 2023.

  • Tryouts for the 2023/2024 season will take place in April-May time frame. Dates and locations will be announced soon, and conducted in both geographic locations, in a manner similar to previous years.

  • All players that make a HEX FC Team for Fall 2023 will purchase a new HEX FC uniform. We understand that all current players purchased uniforms for the 2022 season, so in response, we have negotiated a deeply discounted price for a new kit from Capelli Sport.

  • Coaching assignments will be released prior to tryouts.

  • We will be holding team meetings for the current PA Dominion and FC Bucks players in the coming weeks, to answer any additional questions. For any potential new players, you may reach out to admin@hexfc.org
