"We are thrilled to have made an agreement with LV Tempest to operate the franchise under the HEX FC brand. The league offers a great opportunity for our current and former players to continue to play together at a high level during and after their collegiate careers.
We have big plans to bring together the former players from FC Bucks, PA Dominion, Keystone Athletic and LV Tempest and create a positive and competitive atmosphere to play in. Coach Raub and Oswald bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience coaching at the WPSL level. They have deep community ties and have positively impacted so many female athletes in our region. We cannot be more excited about the appointment of them both to our coaching staff ”
MARC MEOLI | General Manager
HEX FC is in the first year of a newly re-branded merger of FC Bucks, PA Dominion, and Keystone Athletic youth clubs. HEX FC has 65 U13-U19 teams across the 3 locations. The youth teams compete in the Girls ECNL, Girls ECNL-RL, USYS National League, and EDP premier leagues. HEX FC’s organizational structure is well-equipped to handle the day-to-day operations of managing a WPSL franchise, and is excited to provide a pathway for all collegiate aged level female players.
Eric DiIfulvio, former President of the Lehigh Valley Tempest, will stay involved in the organization in an advisory role.
“While the LV Tempest name may be changing, the spirit and missions of the team remains strong. While I'm thrilled to be part of this new chapter as an advisor, Founder and former President, Brittney Ruggieri, has always been the driving force behind this incredible organization. Now, I have the pleasure of working with HEX FC to elevate the experience for our players and fans.
This merger creates a powerful platform for women's soccer in the Lehigh Valley, offering a clear pathway for young talent and a competitive environment for collegiate-level players.
I'm confident this acquisition presents exciting opportunities for female players in the Lehigh Valley soccer community. Joining forces with HEX FC will provide our talented athletes with more resources, a wider network, and a clear pathway for development. I'm proud of LV Tempest's legacy and eager to see the team thrive under this new chapter as HEX FC Tempest.
In my advisory role, I'll remain actively involved, supporting the team's success and ensuring a smooth transition."
ERIC DIFULVIO | Advisor
HEX FC Tempest will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Conference - Commonwealth Division with Reading United AC, Hershey FC, Keystone FC, PA Classics, and LVU Rush. Since its establishment in 1998, the Women’s Premier Soccer League has been the pinnacle platform for advancing player development in the United States at the amateur level. Through its 25-year history, the WPSL has grown into a leading advocate for women’s soccer by creating multiple avenues for developmental opportunities, including the WPSL International Combine and the WPSL U21 league.
“Lehigh Valley Tempest has been one of the top clubs in the WPSL since 2017 both on and off the field.
From the clubs founding by Brittney Ruggieri to this new chapter joining forces with HEX FC, we are confident that the club will continue to be a driving force in development of women’s soccer in Pennsylvania and HEX FC will continue to provide a platform for young women to follow their dreams at the collegiate and professional level.
I am excited to continue to work with them and follow their progress in 2024 and for many years to come”
SEAN JONES | President, WPSL
